Volunteer at the Lighthouse Half Marathon

 

Every great event is powered by amazing volunteers — and the Lighthouse Half Marathon is no different! Your support helps make this race one of the best experiences for athletes and the entire Long Beach community. Whether you’re helping at the start line, finish area, or along the course, your contribution makes a real difference.

Volunteer Teams & Duties

​

Athlete Check-In

​

• Assist with setting up the check-in station.

• Help with early morning check-in.

• Answer general athlete questions on race morning.

 

Finish Line & Expo Setup

​

• Set up finish chute and expo canopies.

• Place race-day flags, signage, and course maps.

 

Expo & Finish Line Support

​

• Hand out medals and post-race water.

• Direct athlete traffic and assist finishers.

• Support the timing company if needed.

 Water Station Teams

•  Set up and manage water tables stocked with water and electrolytes.

• Hand out drinks to passing runners.

• Clean up the area after the last runner passes.
